Sports Briefs for Dec. 7, 2013

Wrestling, basketball postponed

The Aberdeen Kickoff Classic and Ocosta Invitational wrestling tournaments scheduled for today have been postponed due to potentially hazardous travel conditions.

The Aberdeen tourney is tentatively rescheduled for Jan. 4, if enough teams commit to the new date. It is unlikely the Ocosta tourney will be rescheduled.

Travel conditions also forced the postponement of the Centralia at Elma and Montesano at North Beach girls basketball games scheduled for Friday and the Trout Lake Co-Ed Basketball Tournament in which Taholah and Lake Quinault were among the planned participants. No make-up dates have been announced.
