Elma Kids Wrestling program begins

The Elma Kids Wrestling program begins Wednesday at the Elma High School wrestling room.

The program, sponsored by the Elma Wrestling Club, is open to 5-year-olds through sixth-grade students. Registration is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday, with practice to follow at 6 p.m.

Practices and dual matches are planned Jan. 16, 21, 23, 28 and 29, with a dual tournament planned for 6 p.m. Feb. 5. All practices begin at 6 p.m.

Choker games have earlier start

Today’s Highline at Grays Harbor College coed basketball doubleheader at Sam Benn Gym will feature an earlier start than is usual for Choker home games on Saturday.

The women’s contest is scheduled for noon, with the men’s contest to follow at 2 p.m.

The earlier start is to accommodate the North Thurston at Aberdeen girls basketball game tonight at Benn Gym.
