Monte Invite wrestling due Saturday

Nine schools are entered in the Montesano Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday.

Hoquiam, North Beach, Kalama, R.A. Long, Port Townsend, Mark Morris, Rochester and the Quileute Tribal School will join the host Bulldogs in the tournament.

Wrestling begins at 10 a.m., with the title round planned for approximately 4:30 p.m.

Aberdeen boys alumni swim meet set

The Aberdeen High School boys swimming team will host an alumni swim meet at the YMCA of Grays Harbor at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The event is open to all Aberdeen swimming alumni (male and female) and alumni from other high school programs are welcome to attend and participate. Entry fee is 1-2 non-perishable food item.

Warmups start at 10 a.m. and alumni can sign up for events — a full meet schedule, along with four special non-standard events, are on tap — during the warmups or by emailing AHS head coach Rebecca Rowe at rebikah17@gmail.com.

Patrick aces at GHCC

Ed Patrick scored his first hole-in-one Saturday at Grays Harbor Country Club.

Patrick used an 8-iron to ace the 114-yard 16th hole. John Sand, Keith Fouts, Paul Conroy and Gerald Fuller witnessed the shot.
