Ken Waite Memorial golf tourney billed

Registration is being accepted for Grays Harbor College’s annual Ken Waite Memorial Golf Tournament, scheduled for May 10 at Grays Harbor Country Club.

The tourney, co-sponsored by Snell Crane, Corona Steel, Northwest Rock, Rognlin’s and Pacific Coast General Contractors, will begin at 1 p.m. Day-of-tourney registration is planned for 12:30 p.m.

The $65 per person entry fee will include green fees, beverages during play, tee prizes and awards and a barbecue dinner following the round. Proceeds from the tournament will aid Grays Harbor College athletics.

A special raffle will accompany the tournament. The winner will receive two tickets to a Seattle Seahawks’ preseason game, dinner for two and a night’s lodging at Seattle’s Mariott Hotel. A maximum of 250 raffle tickets will be sold, with each ticket priced at $10.

Poggies to meet Wednesday

The Grays Harbor Poggie Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoquiam Elks Hall.
