Three Bobcats earn second team in Evergreen


Three Aberdeen players received second-team recognition on the all-Evergreen 2A Conference boys soccer team announced this week.

Despite placing second in the league, the Bobcats were not represented on the first team.

Forwards Seth Caba and Isaiah Contreras and defender Tavo Sanchez earned second-team honors.

League champion Capital swept the major awards. Cougar forward Nigel El-Sokkary was selected as the Offensive Player of the Year, while goalkeeper Jakob Racimo took Defensive Player of the Year honors.

Capital’s Andrew Lopez was voted by his peers as the Evergreen Conference’s Coach of the Year.
