TUKWILA — Two Grays Harbor teams captured titles in the state Recreational Cup youth soccer tournament last weekend at the Starfire Soccer Complex in Tukwila.
The Montesano Renegades won the girls U-14 championship. The Harbor Sounders took the boys U-15 title.
Kayleigh Sutherby scored a pair of second-half goals as the Renegades rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to top the Federal Way Strikers, 2-1, in the U-14 title match. Samantha Stanfield tallied both goals in a 2-0 semifinal win over the Vancouver West Dynamite.
The Renegades were coached by Todd Lindley, assisted by Rick Denholm and Trent Howard. Team members included Stanfield, Sutherby, Rachael Ayres, Hannah Barre, Jordyn Daniels, Lauren Denholm, Bailee Green, Chelsi Howard, Lindsey Hutchings, Mikayla Jacklin, Morgan Malizia, McKenna Miller, Haylee Perkinson, Julia Poler, Peyton Poler, Kaycee Ruggles, Hallie Stubb and Noelle Tingey. A team photo will appear in a subsequent edition.
The Sounders dominated their last two opponents in the U-15 class to capture their second straight state title.
Miguel Torres and Jesse Paik scored two goals apiece and Robby Lewis and Cesar Corona each added a goal in a 6-1 rout of the Vancouver United Cheetahs in the title match.
Corona scored twice in a 4-1 semifinal win over the Screaming Thunder. Paik and Lewis added the other goals.

The other three Twin Harbors qualifiers dropped semifinal decisions.
The FME Yellow Jackets nipped the Montesano Wildcats, 2-1, in a girls U-12 semifinal. Zoee Lisherness scored for the Wildcats.
The Elma/McCleary Dynamite fell to the eventual state champion Tracyton Havoc from the Bremerton area, 2-0, in a girls U-13 semifinal. The Fall City Rovers blanked the Willapa Harbor Health Pros Northwest, 3-0, in a boys U-17 semi.
