Edith passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2017, with her loving family at her bedside, she was 98. She was born Aug. 20, 1918, in Aberdeen, Wash., to William and Rilla Crick.
She graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1936. After school, she became a professional ballet dancer. Later, she also taught dance before and after her marriage to Otto Torkelson in 1938.
Otto passed away in 1965 and later she married Arthur Holden. They moved to Port Angeles, Wash. until he passed away in 1985. Edith came back to Hoquiam, Wash. to live with her daughter, Carol. She lived there until her death.
Edith is survived by her daughter Carol (Dave) Wayman, daughter-in-law Laura Torkelson, granddaughter Traci (James) Sandstrom, grandsons Kevin Torkelson and Kent Torkelson, great-grandchildren David Sandstrom, Piper Sandstrom and Jade Sandstrom, and friend and caregiver Sherry Cook. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands Otto Torkelson and Arthur Holden, son Wayne Torkelson, sisters Marie Gerhardt and Florence Castile, brothers Peter Crick and Raymond Crick and grandson David Wayman.
Cremation has taken place. At her request, there will be no memorial service.
