The Elma Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors presented the Business of the Quarter Award, for the second quarter of 2017, to Kres Brown, manager of Les Schwab Tire Center of Elma. Board members and chamber staff presented the plaque to Kres in June.Les Schwab Tire Center of Elma was presented the award based on enhancement to Elma and support of the business community. Les Schwab was founded more than 60 years ago, and the Elma location opened in July 1997. There are currently nine employees. According to Kres Brown, Manager, “Giving back to the community is at the heart of Les Schwab. Our founder, Les Schwab, believed in supporting the communities where his employees live and work. We carry on that tradition today as local stores sponsor organizations and events that reflect the community’s interest.
