RAYMOND — Winning three titles, host Willapa Harbor placed third as a team in the Willapa Harbor Invitational on Saturday at Raymond.
Monroe took team honors with 227 points. Shorewood was second with 156 1/2. Willapa Harbor totaled 148 points and Hoquiam was fourth with 137 1/2.
Five Twin Harborites were among the individual titlists. Willapa Harbor’s Tristan Hamlin (132 pounds), Luke Borden (160) and Ben Byington (170) won their respective division. Hoquiam’s Lutra Felten (106) and Brady Cummings (152) also prevailed.
“I’m very proud of our tournament and our kids for putting on a great show for their home town,” Willapa Harbor assistant coach John Enslow reported.
He cited runners-up Chase Flynn, Ricky Robinett and Christian Anderson for producing upsets that contributed to the third-place team finish. Enslow also saluted head coach Preston Crow for his role in reviving the tournament.
