Cheryl Thompson, Fire District 2
Firefighter and EMT, she’s a veteran of more than 25 years as a volunteer. She is very active in firefighter and EMS training.
Lt. Cody Bridges, Cosmopolis Fire Department
Described as a compassionate and caring EMT who leads by example, Bridges was instrumental in getting a larger, newer fire/rescue boat for the department. He is closely involved with the Denny York Fire Museum, working on fire truck restoration projects and community education.
Stephanie Allestad, Fire District 8
A longtime volunteer on the North Beach. Involved in ceretification training for the district, she also has worked with the Red Cross and Grays Harbor Volunteer Search and Rescue, and is the lead of the annual Chocolate on the Beach festival.
Matt Miller, Hoquiam Fire Department
A headquarters captain, Miller is in charge of all training for the department and also is tasked with probationary training for new recruits. With more than 20 firefighters, it’s a monumental job requiring a lot of extra time and loads of paperwork. He’s been with the department since 1999.
