More than 300 rainbow trout, including a handful in the 5-pound range, were loaded into the kids fishing pond Friday for the Gateway to the Olympics Expo taking place this weekend at the Shoppes at Riverside mall in South Aberdeen. The expo features nearly 50 vendors and showcases the diverse outdoor activities in Grays Harbor County. There will be hourly door prizes including Mariners tickets and $50 and $100 gift cards, and there is a pellet gun range. The fish pond is sponsored by Cabelas.
