Here’s a quick reminder of this week’s major Independence Day events, in chronological order.
Today
Seabrook
The annual porch illumination walk begins at 6 p.m. With games and s’mores until 9 p.m. at Crescent Park.
Taholah
Chief Taholah Days runs July 3-5 with games, cultural competitions and many other activities.
Wednesday
Aberdeen
The annual Five Star Dealerships Splash Festival will begin at noon at Morrison Waterfront Park with inflatables, rides, food and craft vendors, and more.
At 5 p.m., the festivities will shift to the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport with more adult-oriented activities.
Aberdeen’s fireworks display, which may be seen from either side of the river, begins at 10 p.m.
Ocean Shores
Quinault Beach Resort & Casino’s professional fireworks show will begin at dusk, but private fireworks will be going on all day at the beach.
Oyhut Bay
Oyhut Bay Seaside Village will host its “Ol’ Fashioned Family Fourth” from noon to 5 p.m. It will include family yard games, a sand sculpture creation area, a patriotic pet parade and chalk art with Justin the Circler. A watermelon-eating contest will begin at 2 p.m.
Seabrook
Seabrook will host its annual Kids’ Parade starting at 10 a.m. at Meador Park. Children may ride their bikes and tricycles, and activities include face painting and moon walking.
The flag presentation will take place at 11 a.m. at the Front Street Amphitheater flagpole.
Taholah
Fireworks will begin at dusk on the riverfront, followed by a dance from 9 p.m. to midnight at Heritage Park.
Westport
The Fourth of July celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Westport Maritime Museum grounds. A flag ceremony will take place at 11 a.m.
The Booming Bay fireworks display will begin at dusk at the Marina.
Saturday
Oakville
The Independence Day parade will begin at 11 a.m. Afterward, visitors can enjoy live music, a craft fair and a car show.
At dusk, the city will show a movie in the park.
