Faculty at Grays Harbor College will receive a 3 percent pay raise this year, after the college’s Board of Trustees agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with its faculty union last Friday.
College President James Minkler said the pay increase is part of a cost-of-living adjustment to compensate for inflation. He added that in January, the faculty would receive an additional .7 percent increase on top of that.
The raise applies to all faculty at the college, and the request was made at the request of the Grays Harbor College Federation of Teachers, the faculty union.
