Local PGA Junior League team forming
The Highland Golf Course is forming a PGA Junior League golf team to compete against junior golfers across the state.
Teams are composed of eight to 12 children, ages 8-13 (as of Aug. 1, 2019).
Children are paired with a partner to play a 9-hole, two-person scramble in a developmental program created to introduce kids to team golf.
The fee is $200, which includes two PGA Junior League golf shirts, a t-shirt, a draw-string bag, weekly team practices at Highland Golf Course and six team matches. Financial assistance and golf clubs are available from Grays Harbor Junior Golf, if needed.
An informational meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 22 at Highland Golf Course.
