A new angel was recently, but heartrendingly, created in mid-October. Michelle Rene Morgan lost her brave battle with cancer on Oct. 18, 2016.
She was a most wonderful wife, mother, friend and an overall beautiful person whose infectious smile and love of people attracted many over her 64 years and touched countless lives.
Born and raised in Tacoma, Wash., she graduated from Wilson High School, attended Tacoma Community College, and graduated from the Bates Dental Assistant program. Her work ranged from the dental office, the Clinical Laboratory at Lakewood Hospital (now St. Claire), to a successful business owner.
She loved her family, friends, dogs, gardening, art, the ocean, music, laughter and glass blowing. She was an avid beachcomber and won several awards at the Ocean Shores Beachcombers’ Fun Fair. Her gardening interests included being a Docent at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden, and more recently, as an orchid collector in Pahoa, Hawaii.
Her time was shared between Ocean City, Wash., and Hawaii Island, and the friends on both sides of the Pacific.
She is survived by Jeff (husband), Zack (son), Jeff (stepson), and her sister Danette. Her grandchildren include Spenser, Lexie, and Jackson Morgan (Zack), and Ava and Annabelle Morgan (Jeff).
A celebration of life will be held summer of 2017 in Ocean City. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that a contribution be donated in her name to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance http://www.seattlecca.org/get-involved-0. Aloha Nui Loa, our love. A Hui Hou.
