Geraldine “Kitty” Bronson, a longtime Montesano resident, passed away at St. Peters Hospital in Olympia, Wash., on Oct. 17, 2016, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Kitty was born on March 5, 195,5 in Charlotte, N.C. to Imogene (Moose) and Fonzie Barker. She graduated in 1973 from Olympic High School in Charlotte, N.C. Kitty moved to Washington along with her mother and three siblings.
Kitty retired after more than 30 years of service at the United States Postal Service in Montesano, Wash. In her retirement, she enjoyed playing Bingo, attending auctions and spending time with her family and close friends.
Kitty is survived by her son, Chris Bronson; granddaughter, Emma Bronson; mother, Imogene Moose; brother Dock Barker; sister Rebecca Moose and all of her beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her brother Dennis Barker.
A celebration of life/potluck lunch will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, at the Olympic View Grange, 466 Old Monte Brady Rd, Montesano, WA 98563 at 1 p.m.
