Brad Johansson of the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office was promoted last week to undersheriff, according to a Sheriff’s Office statement.
Johansson has moved through the ranks of the Sheriff’s Office, serving as a sergeant, Lieutenant and, most recently, Chief Criminal Deputy. The undersheriff is second in command to Sheriff Rick Scott and supervises all the administrative functions of the Sheriff’s Office. Johansson replaces the recently-retired Undersheriff Dave Pimentel.
Carson Steiner was promoted July 1 to the position of sergeant. Steiner started his career in the jail and has been working patrol since March 2014.
Last Monday also marked Scott’s 42nd anniversary with the Sheriff’s Office, according to a post by Aberdeen Police Chief Steve Shumate, formerly the Sheriff’s Office chief criminal deputy.
