Hoquiam senior John Sand can put one more honor into his trophy case after he was named Southwest Washington 1A League MVP last week.
Based on results from the District IV 1A tournament in October, Sand was joined by teammates Josh Burgher, Ryan Cole and Brayden Dayton on the all-league teams. The four combined to win their second straight district team title.
Also honored were Elma’s Trace Thompson and Montesano’s Matthew Plate with second-team selections.
