Kellie Watkins
I am a 17-year-old senior at Hoquiam High School. I am also enrolled in Running Start and plan to graduate with my high school diploma and AA. After high school I plan on transferring to a four-year university then becoming an accountant. I am so thankful to be chosen for Loggers Playday court this year. I feel honored to represent the loggers in my family and the loggers in our community. Thank you to everyone who made this possible for me and my fellow court members!
Maddie German
I’m currently a senior at Hoquiam High School. I am a three sport varsity athlete involved in cross country, basketball and fast pitch. My parents are Scott and Kelsey German. My great-grandparents, Bill and Ann Sweatman, own Sweatman Trucking, so I grew up riding in log trucks with my Grandpa Dale. After high school I hope to play fast pitch at Central Washington University while pursuing my career as an EMT/firefighter. From basketball to middle school and high school, we have been together through it all, and I wouldn’t want to spray anybody else at the truck wash other than these girls. I am so glad we got the opportunity to do this through our senior year summer. Thank you to the Loggers Playday community for putting up with us, and thank you Grays Harbor for making Loggers Playday happen.
Magdelena Mazariegos
I am a senior at Hoquiam High School, where I am involved in volleyball, Grizzly Fusion and Honor Society. My parents are Danielle Weidman and Angel Mazariegos. I have two awesome big brothers and one amazing little sister. For as long as I can remember, I have always attended the Loggers Playday Parade. Along with the night show, one of my favorite events is watching the tree-topping to crush the watermelon or car down below, and then of course the fireworks display at the end. I have always loved Loggers Playday. I’m very thankful to have had this opportunity to represent the loggers of my community, my family and most of all Hoquiam. I was so honored be chosen on this year’s court, so I’d like to thank the Loggers Playday committee and these girls I’ve grown up with my whole life. We made a lot of unforgettable memories, and I loved it!
Carsyn Munger
I am a 17-year-old senior at Hoquiam High School. I am involved in extracurricular activities at the school including volleyball, cheer and Fusion. My parents are Chris and Lisa Munger. I have a 22-year- old sister named Chandra; she and my aunt helped inspire me to follow in their footsteps. I have been so thankful for this opportunity and would just like to thank the committee for choosing me. I am also grateful for this group of girls and this chance to grow our friendship. Being on the court is very important to me because my family has a strong background in the industry. After school I hope to attend Oregon State University and major in business and minor in interior design — then, after graduating from college, getting my real estate license. Again, thank you for this opportunity and letting me be a part of this special experience.
