Mariners release 2017 spring training schedule

The Mariners have announced their 2017 spring training report dates and Cactus League schedule. With the World Baseball Classic being played this spring, teams have moved up their preparation schedule a few days to work around any logistical issues for those players that are participating.

Mariners’ pitchers and catchers will report to Peoria, Arizona on February 14. They will have their first workout the following day. Position players are scheduled to report on Feb. 18 and the first full squad workout will be the next day.

Many players that are participating in the WBC will likely arrive in Peoria before those scheduled report dates to get an early start on preparation.

Cactus League games start on Feb. 25 with the annual charity game vs. the Padres at Peoria Stadium. Seattle will finish up on Saturday, April 1. The team will fly to Houston for a workout the next day and open the season on April 3 at Minute Maid park.

For those interested in buying spring training tickets, a special presale of single-game tickets for season ticket holders and Mariners.com registered users will take December 3-5. Single-game tickets will be available to all fans, online-only (Mariners.com/Tickets), beginning on Saturday, Dec. 10
