United Way of Grays Harbor to hold kick-off event on Thursday, Aug. 25

United Way of Grays Harbor is kicking off its 2016-17 campaign with an event Thursday.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be food, games and prizes.

“This is a fun way to launch our campaign year and showcase the community programs we support,” says Kelley McDonald, United Way executive director. “These programs serve those in most critical need right here in Grays Harbor. Representatives of our sponsored programs will be there, as well as community members representing local schools, businesses and media.”

The free event is is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Soiree on Broadway, 204 S. Broadway in Aberdeen.
