Louise Irene Doll Bakotich, 89, a lifelong resident of Aberdeen, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020, at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, Aberdeen. She was born in Aberdeen, October 24, 1930, the daughter of Harold and Ruby (Toler) Doll.
Louise was married to Pasco Bakotich in Aberdeen, March 8, 1960, and they owned and operated the Blue Eagle Tavern in South Aberdeen for many years. She had also worked for Mode O’Day for a short time and for Barnes Floral and Wynans Florist. She loved working with real and artificial flowers.
She loved and served as a volunteer at Grays Harbor Community Hospital, receiving many awards for her work and dedication. She started the Heart Support Group at the hospital. She was an avid animal lover.
Louise is survived by two sons: Pasco Bakotich III, Olympia, and Douglas Braaten, in Oregon; a daughter: Shirley Dow, Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Larry Doll; and a daughter-in-law: Mary Helen Bakotich, Hoquiam; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, Delilah, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pasco; sons: Lee (Pork) Bakotich, Dennis Braaten; a brother: Chuck Doll; and a sister: Ruby Braaten.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later time. It will be announced when that has been determined.
