Grays Harbor County Public Health Monday announced 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since Friday.

That brings the total number of cases in the county since February to 123, up from 110 reported Friday. Eleven of those cases were attributed to the month of August, making it 15 cases a little more than a week into the month.

Brianne Probasco with Public Health said Monday, “The cases that were identified over the weekend are part of the Beehive (Assisted Living Community in McCleary) outbreak. There are now a total of 15 cases, including one death, associated with this outbreak.”

The county says the number of active positive cases — those under isolation or quarantine — rose from 19 Friday to 31 Monday, and the number of active contact investigations rose from 82 to 111; total contact investigations now stand at 366.

Of the 123 cases, 57 are male and 66 are female. The largest total case number, 50, has been in the 20- to 39-year-old age group, followed by 31 among those 40 to 59; 23 in the 60-79 group; eight 80 and older; and 11 in the 1- to 19-year-old range.

State Department of Health data Monday showed 13 COVID-19 hospitalizations in Grays Harbor County. Grays Harbor Public Health has reported three COVID-19-related deaths, while the state dashboard shows two.

Pacific County

According to information last updated Saturday on the state Department of Health website, Pacific County now has 51 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Wednesday, the county reported they had 43, an increase of eight. A total of seven hospitalizations are ongoing, and the death count stands at two.
