Grays Harbor County now has 11 deaths attributed to COVID-19 with a new death reported Tuesday by Grays Harbor Public Health.
There were no new cases of COVID-19 reported Tuesday, the first reporting day with no new cases since Sept. 8.
The county case count stands at 554, with 157 cases either in isolation or quarantine and 157 active contact investigations. Public Health reported four new contacts Tuesday.
Per Grays Harbor Public Health policy no further details were made available on the death reported Tuesday, the fifth death attributed to September — there were five in August and one in July. So far there are no deaths or cases listed in October in Grays Harbor County.
Among the six counties including Grays Harbor and those immediately surrounding it, Grays Harbor County’s 11 death is the second highest, according to state Department of Health numbers updated Sunday (which didn’t include the 11th death reported Tuesday). Thurston County showed 19 deaths, Mason County eight, Lewis County six, Pacific County three, and zero deaths have been reported in Jefferson County.
