Thanksgiving arrest in Aberdeen counterfeit $100 bills investigation

A 42-year-old Lakewood woman was arrested Thanksgiving afternoon by Aberdeen Police and booked into the city jail on forgery charges.

“Over the past several days, officers have responded to many reports of counterfeit $100 bills being used at local businesses,” reported Commander Dale Green. “Officers had the description of the female and vehicle she was driving.”

Officers located the vehicle and the woman Thursday afternoon and she was taken into custody.

“Detectives executed a search warrant on the vehicle this morning and recovered a stash of counterfeit $100 bills, drug paraphernalia, and multiple printers, along with mail and other personal effects of other people,” said Green. She was booked on forgery charges.
