Dan Richards was born to Betty and Ben Richards on Nov. 18, 1951, in Chehalis Washington. Dan passed away Nov. 25, 2020, at Pacific Care Center.

Dan’s family moved to California for a short time before making their home in Hoquiam, Washington, in 1963. Dan graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1970. He married Jeanne Cuff on Nov. 16, 1974, and they made their home in Hoquiam.

Dan worked at various shake mills before starting with the City of Hoquiam as a sanitation engineer in 1980.

Dan is survived by his wife Jeanne, daughter Amy (Kyle) Thelin, son Alan Richards (Brittany), grandchildren: Jayden, Isiah, Brent, Hunter, Sam and Iris: sisters Debbie, Pam, Angi and Sandy; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
