Deloris Eleanor Larson, 95, was born to Arthur and Ora Wentworth in Geraldine, Mont. on Sept. 26, 1921. She passed away Dec. 14, 2016 at home. Deloris is survived by her 4 children, Gerald (Marlyn), Daniel (Judy), John (Janet), and Susan Marsh (Peter). She is also survived by her sister, Velma “Babe” Buck. Her husband Edgar “Bud” Larson predeceased her. They were married for 59 years, she had 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Deloris grew up in Oakville, Wash. on a dairy farm one of 6 children. She came here by covered wagon from Montana. She graduated from Oakville High School in Fords Prairie in 1940. She attended Beauty School in Tacoma. She met her husband, Bud, at a dance which is something they loved to do together all thru their marriage. Bud and Deloris lived in Tacoma for most of their marriage and moved full time to the “farm” in Satsop in 1985.

Growing up during the depression made Deloris a resourceful and capable woman. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. She was a Little League baseball mom, Cub Scout mom and Brownie leader. She was a farmer who was always raising something whether it was kids, puppies or calves. She was an amazing gardener and brought much joy to everyone with her beautiful flower beds, house plants, and garden. She had a plant business and operated a greenhouse for many years. She loved to fish with her best friend. She made many of the family’s clothes and quilts. She was also a member of Old Time Fiddlers and Past President.

She was a great story teller and never missed an opportunity to share all of the lessons she learned in life. She lived a very full life and was full of energy. She will be dearly missed by all who know her. The final years of her life were made easier by her wonderful care givers. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks for making her last days brighter.
