Longtime Hoquiam resident Dale Milton Scheelke passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was 73. Dale was born May 18, 1943 in Aberdeen, Wash. to Theodore and Mildred (Johnson) Scheelke.
Dale was raised in Elma and graduated from Elma High School in 1961 and had graduated from Grays Harbor College in 1997. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Dale worked as a maintenance man at Pacific Care Center in Hoquiam; and was a member of the Eagles and V.F.W.
Dale is survived by his significant other of 17 years Marjorie Chapman of the family home; his sons Scott Scheelke of Elma, Claude Scheelke of Missoula, Mont., Dwight Scheelke and daughter Mary Alonzo of Glendale, Ariz.; and his brother Gerald Scheelke and also one grandchild.
In addition to his parents Dale was also preceded in death by his brother Thomas Scheelke.
At Dale’s request there will be no formal services.
