Frances J. (Pennell) Wenzel, 74, of Aberdeen, died Dec. 16, 2016, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Fran was born in Olympia, Wash., on July 19, 1942, and graduated from Olympia High School in 1960. She loved traveling, tea parties and spending time with family and friends. Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Frank Pennell; and her two sisters, Dode Pennell and Flo Olsen. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Doyle H. Wenzel; three children, Patricia Wenzel of Fairview, OR; Frank Wenzel of Rochester Wash. and Melissa McDowell of Aberdeen, Wash; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will love on through all who love her.
