Lisa Ann Allen, a longtime resident of Aberdeen, passed away on Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Community Hospital at the age of 71.

She is survived by her loving husband John, with whom she raised five children, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren throughout their 44 years of marriage. Lisa worked for most of her adult life as a caretaker in Grays Harbor County where she brought up her family.

Lisa loved reading every day, often finishing a book by twilight. In the evenings, she would settle down with her books and read for hours under her lamp lit magnifying glass. Her silhouette in the dining room window will be a missed fixture in her neighborhood.

Lisa was always the first hand extended when family or friends were down and quick to make light of their mishaps. Her positive influence will forever strengthen the lives of all who knew her. She devoted her life to taking care of others and will finally get her deserved rest.

A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at her home soon. We look forward to remembering her there with those who are able to join.
