Della Lucille Stryken, 62, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her home in Ocean Shores, Washington.
Della was born on Sept. 9, 1958 to Kenneth and Joy McClellan in Pomona, California, where she lived until the age of 10. In 1968 her family moved to Whidbey Island, where she stayed for the next 30 years until moving to Arizona City, Arizona, and eventually settling in Ocean Shores 10 years ago.
She attended Langley High School before graduating in 1976, and Skagit Valley Community College, where she got her associate’s degree.
On Oct. 9, 1994 Della was married to Kelly Stryken in Reno, Nevada. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, spend time in her garden and be with her family and grandkids.
Della is survived by two sons: Jason Lee Lloyd of Ocean Shores, Washington and Tyler Mark Lloyd of Aberdeen, Washington; daughter Erica Jeanne Kelli Thuirer (Mathew) of Ocean Shores, Washington; two brothers: Mark (Cheryl) McClellan of Arlington, Washington and Tim (Gwen) McClellan of Napavine, Washington; three sisters: Cheri (Steve) Strehle of Lake Tapps, Washington, Kathie (Larry) Fudge of Newcastle, Washington, and Traci (Bud) Cheever of Whidbey Island, Washington; and two grandchildren: Kensley Thuirer and Alex Haupt.
There will be a celebration of life on June 5, 2021 at Kelly and Della’s home.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Twibell’s Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington.
