A Tacoma man was sentenced on Friday, July 8, to 30 years in state prison for raping a 17-year-old girl.

Paul James Bieker was ordered to serve the sentence at a hearing before Grays Harbor County Superior Court Judge David Mistachkin. Bieker was convicted of the crime, which took place in Maryc 2003, in a jury trial on June 3.

Bieker was living in McCleary at the time of the rape.
