Shelly Garlick was born Oct. 31, 1967, in Aberdeen, Washington and was a longtime McCleary resident. Shelly had an enchanting smile that could put anyone at ease Everyone was Shelly’s friend. Her sense of humor was second to none and she was as compassionate as she was funny. Even when ill, Shelly was never angry or sad. She could find the silver lining to keep pushing forward in any situation. She was so special and represented the good that we all need every day in our lives.
Shelly was known for being incredibly passionate about her work as a technical operations manager at Comcast for 18 years. She shared her passion through mentoring and quickly earned the respect of her peers and was described as “the best boss ever.”
Being humbly social was a special gift upon which Shelly was bestowed. Those around her were drawn to her infectious and ebullient personality. Selflessness and generosity were two of her many wonderful traits. Shelly was an extraordinary person and touched the lives of so many people.
Shelly had a love for life and was extremely proud of her family. Shelly is survived by her spouse Holly Charlton, daughter Amanda Craig (Kyle Craig), grandchildren: Juliana and Jackson Craig, mother Jeanette Boley (Glen Boley), father Steve Garlick (Darlene Garlick), sisters: Chrissy Johnson (Todd Johnson), Angie Lund (Mike Lund), Shawna Benitez (Coy Benitez), Stacy Mathis (Gene Mathis), and multiple nieces and nephews.
We will be gathering to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and remember an amazing person who will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at 1 p.m. at The Pavilion, 190 W. Sentry Drive, Shelton, WA 98584
