Andrea Lynn Henning, 82, longtime Aberdeen resident and former owner of Rod & Roll Hair Salon, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital in Aberdeen, Washington.
Andrea was born on Dec. 13, 1939, in Ilwaco, Washington to Sanford and Clara Mae (Jones) Shagle. She graduated from high school in South Bend and went on to beauty school in Aberdeen.
She married George Axel Henning Jr. He died on Jan. 31, 2019, in Aberdeen.
Andrea owned and operated Rod & Roll Hair Salon from 1981 until her retirement in the mid ‘90s. Her joy in life was having her kids around her and their friends too.
Andrea is survived by three sons: Mark (Christine) Henning of Aberdeen, Greg (Angie) Henning of and Aaron Henning of Aberdeen; a sister, Barb (Dick) Mossman of Forks,; three grandchildren: Amberlee (Steven) Gerrard, Michelle Henning and Isaac Henning; and two great-grandchildren: Avery and Reagan Gerrard.
There will be a time of visitation on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Washington. A funeral will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 10 a.m. in Fern Hill Funeral Home’s Chapel. Burial will take place following at Fern Hill Cemetery, Aberdeen.
