John Charles Parsons, 70, joined our angels above on Nov. 23, 2022, while at home surrounded by his “forever” loving family and friends, after a short battle with cancer.

John was born on Dec. 31, 1951, in Aberdeen, Washington to Floyd and LaVonn (Shambley) Parsons. He graduated from Aberdeen High School and received an AA from the GH College welding program.

In June of 2000, John “The Fisherman” met the “Catch of his Life,” Tricia Reid. They married July 7, 2007. He was previously married to Rebecca Bickar.

John made his career as a carpenter/millwright. He worked for Rognlins, Inc. for many years before retiring.

John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and hunting, so much so, he had his own fish guide service called “Parsons Pro Guide Service” at one time. He also loved fast cars, owning and driving some of his dream cars, his Viper and his Cobra, while still always dreaming of what new fast car he could drive next. He loved watching NASCAR on Sundays, which became his top priority on Sunday afternoons.

John has three stepchildren whom he took absolute pride in calling them his own. He was extremely proud of all of them and what they have become and accomplished. He was forever grateful to have been a part of their lives. He especially took pride in his stepson he called “John Parsons Jr.”, JR. John raised him as his own. John made sure to always brag to everyone he talked to about how proud he was of him and the wonderful, smart, responsible, hardworking man he has become.

John was blessed to have many long-time family and friends of whom he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working with. He even saved the life of a best friend, John Hall, with CPR at work one day.

For those who had the privilege of sharing his friendship, he was a friend they could always count on. He was always there for you. He loved his family, friends and animals very much. Especially so during his final days on this earth.

John is survived by his loving wife, Tricia, his stepdaughters Dani (Zac) Andrews andAmber Carner and stepson, John (Cheri) Ramsey; siblings, Ken Walden, Sharon Hatley, Laverna Walden, Joe (Barb) Parsons and Georgia (Randy) Parsons, along with his nieces, nephews, and cousins. John is also survived by his beloved dachshund “Daisy” who laid by his side until his very last day.

John is preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law Bobbett Walden.

John was so happy and forever thankful for those who cared, supported, visited and shared long-time memories with him during his final days. A special thank you to his daughters for their never-ending care and his siblings for their never-ending support during this time.

A celebration of life will be held this summer and will be announced at a later date.

As John would say: “Livin’ my life, easy come easy go, “Just gettin’ by on gettin’ by” by Jerry Jeff Walker.

We love you John.
