Aberdeen burglar found on couch, arrested
An Aberdeen transient, who lingered in a home he burgled on March 2, was arrested by Aberdeen police after being discovered by the homeowner.
A resident in the 800 block of Essex Avenue found the 24-year old suspect on a downstairs couch in his home, holding the victim’s leaf blower and surrounded by items he had found after her rifled through the room. The suspect ran after he was confronted by the homeowner, but was quickly found hiding in nearby bushes by Aberdeen police and K-9 officer Max. When the suspect refused to give himself up, Max went to work and the suspect was arrested in short order. The man, identified by police as Jesse A. Knight, was later charged in Grays Harbor Superior Court after being positively identified as the intruder by the homeowner.
