Lake Quinault to host regional and national regatta races

Lake Quinault is set to be the site of two major regatta races in the coming weeks.

First, the area will host the Hobie Class Division 4 Northwest Area Championship on July 29-30 at the Rain Forest Resort Village in Quinault.

The race will feature approximately 30-35 boats from areas such as Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.

The event is scheduled to begin at approximately 11:30 a.m. with multiple races scheduled.

Just a couple of days later, Lake Quinault will host the 2023 Hobie 17/18 North American Championship – also at the Rain Forest Resort Village – from Aug. 1-4.

It will be the first time the national championship race will be held in the Twin Harbors and will feature competitors ranging from across the United States, Canada and Australia.
