The Grays Harbor Mounted Posse Indoor Pro Rodeo starts Friday at the Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds in Elma.
Competitions will include barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, calf roping, bareback riding and wild cow milking.
Shelby Baker-Worth, a senior at Elma High School, was elected this year’s rodeo queen. A lifelong resident of McCleary, Baker-Worth has been a member of 4-H, the equestrian team and McCleary Riders Horse Club. She also has been part of the Rodeo Court for the past three years.
Saturday night will feature a dance with local band Cory Daniels and Humptulips. A beer garden and a number of food options also will be offered.
Sunday is Kids Day, with free activities including an Easter egg hunt.
Doors open Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m., with the rodeo starting at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, the doors open at 10 a.m. and the rodeo begins at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for kids 6-12. Family packages are available Friday and Sunday for $25.
The annual event supports student scholarships, local food banks, and other events and charitable activities conducted by the Grays Harbor Mounted Posse throughout the year.
