On Tuesday morning, Rognlin’s, Inc. tore down the former Bridges Restaurant, 112 N. G St., in Aberdeen. The restaurant closed in Oct. 2012, according to Lauren Nichol, former night shift supervisor at Bridges. The building’s owner ordered the teardown, according to Lisa Scott, community development director for the city of Aberdeen. Nichol, who worked there from 1998 until the day the restaurant closed, provided a comment after finding out Bridges was demolished. “I’m glad, it made me sad to look at it that way,” Nichol said. “It was a great place to work.”
