Five Star holds annual peanut butter drive

Five Star Dealerships will be collecting jars of peanut butter for Coastal Harvest to support the summer demand for kid-friendly foods at local food banks.

Last year’s drive resulted in more than 3,300 jars of peanut butter, feeding kids throughout the summer.

The peanut butter drive, which runs through May, is in response to the increased demand for this expensive staple during the summer months, when many children lose access to school nutrition programs.

Five Star will match all donations plus donate a case of peanut butter for every vehicle sold during the month.

To make a donation, bring jars of peanut butter to either Five Star location, 711 E. Wishkah St. or 212 S. Boone St. in Aberdeen.
