Elma missed a chance at a league No. 2 seed while Aberdeen got a stellar pitching performance as we review Tuesday’s Twin Harbors prep baseball games.
PREP BASEBALL
Tenino 3, Elma 2
Elma missed a chance to move into a tie for second place in the 1A Evergreen League with a 3-2 walk-off loss to Tenino on Tuesday at Tenino High School.
Elma (11-8 overall, 7-5 1A Evergreen) led 1-0 over Tenino (15-5, 9-3) when left fielder Eastin Wright singled to drive in shortstop TJ Dunlap in the top of the fourth inning.
The Beavers tied the game with a run in the sixth on an Austin Gonia RBI ground out.
With a chance to pull into a tie for second with the Beavers on the line, Elma took a 2-1 lead in the top of the seventh when Ethan Camus singled to drive in first baseman Grant Vessey.
Elma starting pitcher Carter Studer ran into trouble in the seventh with a walk and hit batter with one out. Tenino’s Will Feltus doubled to drive in Leland White with the tying run.
Cody Strawn then lined out to right fielder Colt Landstrom, allowing Hunter Sweet to tag up and score the game-winning, walk-off run.
The loss spoiled another fine outing by Studer, who allowed three runs on five hits and five walks with three strikeouts in 6 1-3 innings pitched.

Aberdeen 3, Rochester 0
Aberdeen wrapped up its season with another standout pitching performance in a 3-0 win over Rochester on Tuesday in Aberdeen.
The Bobcats (7-13 overall, 3-9 2A Evergreen) scored a run in the bottom of the second on an RBI single by Ethan Larocque, a run in the fifth on an Aidan Baker sacrifice fly, and a run in the sixth on Baylor Ainsworth fielder’s choice ground out.
That turned out to be plenty of run support for starting senior pitcher Hunter Eisele, who ended his prep career with a stellar outing. The right-hander held the Warriors (10-8, 6-6) scoreless on two hits and two walks while striking out 11 to earn a complete-game victory.
Eisele threw 104 pitches in the game, 68 for strikes, and had a no-hitter until Kole Smith singled to lead off the Rochester fifth inning.
Larocque went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI to lead Aberdeen, which had eight hits in the game as a team.

Hoquiam failed to record a hit in a 4-0 loss to Eatonville on Tuesday at Olympic Stadium in Hoquiam.
The Grizzlies (3-15, 1-12 1A Evergreen) were no-hit by Eatonville starting pitcher Payton Hanly (5.2 IP, 0R, 0H, 5BB, 11K) and reliever Owen Archer (1.1 IP, 0R, 0H) in suffering their fifth-straight loss.
The no-hitter overshadowed a fine outing by Hoquiam starter Riley Montoure, who allowed four runs – one earned – on four hits and four walks with five strikeouts.
Hoquiam hosts Centralia in a non-league contest set for 5 p.m. on Friday.

Ocosta 15, Raymond-South Bend 4
One big inning turned the game around in Ocosta’s 15-4 win over Raymond-South Bend on Tuesday at South Bend High School.
The Ravens (6-8, 2-4 2B Pacific) led 4-0 after two innings on a Branson Williams RBI single in the first followed by three runs on two Wildcats errors in the second.
In the top of the fifth inning, Ocosta tagged the RSB pitching staff for 10 runs on four hits, seven walks and a hit batter to take control of the game.
Ocosta added five more runs in the sixth, taking a 15-4 lead on a Mark Sevilla single.
Dominick Hanson-Miranda (4 IP, 0R, 0H, BB, 3K) earned the win for Ocosta with starter Logan White (2 IP, 4R, ER, 5H, BB, 2K) taking a no decision.
Ocosta sits in fourth place in the 2B Pacific League with Raymond-South Bend in fifth.

Raymond-South Bend 18, North Beach 0
Raymond-South Bend needed just three innings to defeat North Beach 18-0 on Tuesday in South Bend.
The Ravens scored 11 runs in the top of the first inning – all with two outs – highlighted by three consecutive run-scoring doubled by Keeton Nichols, Nolen Miller and Branson Williams.
RSB put the game away with six runs in the third, capped by a Miller RBI single to take an 18-0 lead.
Miller went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and three RBI to lead the Ravens.
Nichols allowed two hits and struck out two in three innings pitched to earn the victory.
North Beach (1-10, 1-6) was led by Kenny Frank and Aiden Delange with a hit apiece.
The Hyaks host Lake Quinault at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
Ocosta awaits its 2B District 4 Tournament playoff opponent on Friday.
