Bolstered by a big third inning, the South Beach Little League Junior All-Stars earned a District 3 championship with a 12-1 victory over Capitol on Monday in Westport.
Trailing 1-0 in top of the third, South Beach (Westport) took command of the game with seven runs, highlighted by a two-run single by Noah Roehrich and a two-run double by Bryce Bottelson.
South Beach added a pair of runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to pick up the 12-1 five-inning victory.
Six South Beach players collected a hit in the game, led by Bottleson and Rustyn Quinby with two hits and two RBI apiece.
Troy Griffith picked up the win, tossing four scoreless inning of relief on two hits, striking out eight without a surrendering a walk.
Logan White started the game on the mound for South Beach, allowing one unearned run on four walks and no hits without allowing a hit in one inning pitched.
South Beach will represent District 3 in the state tournament starting Saturday in Edmonds.
