TUMWATER — Aberdeen’s Bryan Sidor and Faith Cardenas won two sprint race events each to highlight the Bobcats’ performances at the Evergreen 2A Conference track &field meet at Tumwater Stadium on Friday.
Sidor won the 200m and 400m sprints, plus anchored the district-qualifying 400m relay team, for the Bobcats, who finished fifth in the boys meet standings.
Cardenas won the 100m and 400m sprints, took second in the 200m and was a part of the district qualifying 800m relay team. Patricia Bates also grabbed an event win, earning the victory in the discus for Aberdeen, which took fourth in the girls meet standings.
The top-four finishers in laned running events and the top-six finishers in non-laned running and all field events qualified for next Friday’s District IV 2A meet at Columbia River in Vancouver.
