Elma Robby Allen and Montesano’s Colton Grubb and Ayhdn Sauer each carded 9-hole rounds of 43 in the hotly-contested match.

We were blessed to sneak one out against a great Monte team,” Elma head coach Collin McMaster said. “Robby was once again able to share medalist honors and continues to play well. Now we need to regroup and get ready for a match tomorrow versus Rochester in what we expect to be much different playing conditions.”

“We knew the rematch with Elma was going to be a challenge. Both squads have been consistently playing well and building for the postseason,” Montesano head coach Tyler Grajek said. “Elma was more consistent and found a way to battle through tough situations a little better than we did today. Props to them and their staff for a great match and a well earned victory. As always, I am proud of our guys and I know they will bounce back quickly. With districts on the horizon, our goals still remain the same and we will get back to the drawing board.”
