Janet Marie (Frankie) Dibkey peacefully passed into eternity at her home in Sacramento, California on Sept. 14, 2024, following a recent stroke.
She was born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 3, 1936, to Julia and Gust Frankie. Ten years later, the family moved to Grayland, Washington, where they lived on a cranberry farm next door to ten-year-old Robert (Bob) Dibkey and his family.
Ten years later, Janet and Bob were the first couple to be married at Twin Harbors Lutheran Church. The young couple lived briefly in California while Bob was completing a tour in the Navy, but soon returned to Grayland where they became cranberry farmers with Ocean Spray. They were active in Twin Harbors Lutheran Church and other community organizations.
Janet and Bob had two daughters, Cindy and Teri, and Janet was very involved with activities such as teaching Sunday School and leading a Camp Fire Girls group. She loved living at the beach and often walked along the shore or rode her bicycle around the town. Janet was adventurous and traveled to at least 14 countries and numerous states. She made friends wherever she went.
The last few years of her life were lived in the Sacramento area, near many family members.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gust and Julia; her husband, Bob; and great-grandson, Josiah. She is survived by daughters Cindy Tuisku (Carl) and Teri Hulbert; grandchildren Levi Fletcher (Erin), Teasha Corrado (Tony), Alyssa Weakley (Andy), and Eli Tuisku (Estathea Lyons); and great-grandchildren, Elle Corrado, Crosby Corrado, Anna Fletcher, Grace Fletcher, Caleb Fletcher, Samuel Fletcher, Judah Fletcher, and Luther Weakley.

It will be preceded by inurnment at Fern Hill Cemetery in Aberdeen at 11 a.m. The family suggests that people wear blue, if possible, since it was Janet’s favorite color.
