Marie McCully was born to Paul and Gladys (Merrill) Mittge on Aug. 27, 1931, in Birch Tree, Missouri.

The family moved to Washington when Marie was 12. She graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1948. She went on to get her nursing degree, working at Willapa Harbor Hospital and Harbors Home Health as an RN until her retirement. In 1951 she married Dennis McCully. They had three children, Mike, Scott and Carole.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband Dennis McCully, son Mike McCully, daughter Carole Madanifard, her mother and father, Paul and Gladys Mittge, brothers Merrill and Eldon Mittge and sisters Pauline Hill, Edith McCully, Shirley Woodruff, and Carole Mittge. She is survived by her son Scott McCully, daughter-in-law Ruth McCully, brother Joe Mittge, sister Virginia Dzutsoff, grandchildren Dennis (Dena) McCully, Justin (Rebekka) Madanifard, Christine (Blake) Baucom and Jonathan McCully, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Raymond First Baptist Church, with a potluck to follow.
