Shirley Mae (Palmer) Boals, age 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Ocean Shores on Oct. 1, 2024.
Shirley was born on Oct. 10, 1948, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to parents Frank Max Palmer and Marion Magdadeline (Halverson) Palmer. She was raised in Lewiston, Montana, and also lived in Roseville, California (where she was employed at Roseville Toyota) and Rainier, Oregon, where she graduated from Rainier High School in 1966 before going to work for Beaverton Tektronix as a computer developer and programmer.
In 2013, Shirley moved to Ocean Shores, and on March 31, 2014, she married her sweetheart, Bradley Eugene Boals Jr. Shirley was a member of the Methodist Church and enjoyed caring for all of God’s creatures both great and small. Shirley also loved working in the yard, bowling, and playing bunko.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Bradley Boals of Ocean Shores; daughters, Janice Vidal and Melanie Copeland; brother, Charles E. Palmer; and sisters, Sharn Grassmick and Sandy Pass.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marion Palmer.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison Family Mortuary.
