Lois Marie (Conn) Scheffer passed away at Westhaven Village in Aberdeen on Oct. 18, 2024. She was 94 years old.

Lois was born on Aug. 17, 1930, in Liverpool, Ohio to parents James Conn and Martha (Ramsey) Conn. She was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and graduated from Academy High School in 1950. On July 8, 1952, she married George Leon Scheffer. Lois was employed at several different businesses over the years including E.F. McDonald’s and Koch Jewelry in Dayton, Ohio and The San Francisco Music Box Co. in Sarasota, Florida. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dayton, as well as the Red Hat Society, and the Bay Indies Choir. Lois enjoyed many hobbies, such as gardening, Swedish weaving, puzzles, singing, reading, and sewing.

Lois is survived by her daughter in law, Kathy Scheffer, and grandchildren Joseph Scheffer and Daniel (Amber) Scheffer of Ocean Shores, and Kelly (Richard) Eilers of Hoquiam; and great-grandchild, Jericho James Scheffer of Ocean Shores.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Leon Scheffer; parents, James and Martha Conn; sons, George A. Scheffer and Paul A. Scheffer; brothers, David Conn and Allan Conn; and sister Merle Conn Ryan.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the local Amvets .

A private graveside service will be held at Fern Hill Cemetery at a later date.
