Linda Lee Putt passed away peacefully at a Shelton Rehabilitation Center on Nov. 25, 2023 at the age of 80. She had been battling COPD.
Linda moved to Grays Harbor in the late 1950s with parents Cliff and Pauline Puckett and sisters Rosemary (Sapp) Puckett, Bonita (Ballard) Puckett and Cindy (Maninica) Puckett.
She met Daniel Putt in the late ‘60s when she was working at the HUB in Hoquiam and Dan was a Hoquiam Police Officer. Soon after they had their first child together Rodney (Rod) Putt of Elma. Soon after Dan left the police Department and started working at Friend and Rikalo construction in Aberdeen.
They moved to Montesano, and had another child — Randy Putt of Canby Oregon. Linda worked at House of Values in Hoquiam and at the fabric store at the old Wishkah Mall. Once they moved to Montesano she started working at the pharmacy in town.
Dan, Linda and boys lived on Main Street in Montesano where they resided for many years.
Linda and Dan were members of the Moose Lodge and the Push Rods.
Dan purchased her a 1962 Impala SS on her birthday to cruise around and go to car shows. They did many Festival of Lights with their car all lit up!
When the boys left the nest they decided to retire to Rochester in 1999 where they had a home built and shop on a few acres.
Linda loved football, and knew more about the NFL then most people could imagine! She loved watching the Seahawks every weekend.
After moving to Rochester she found the casino, and loved meeting up with friends every Monday for the buffet and some slots. She kept herself to a limit but always seem to win almost every week. She loved doing counted cross stitch and Dan would always frame them up for her.
Dan passed away in 2022. Linda leaves behind 2 sons, a daughter-in-law Adrien Putt and 2 grandchildren, Skyler and Samantha Putt of Elma.
