Eclectic Treasures, the popular thrift shop formerly located at the Westport ‘Y’ is now open in the former Viking Bowl building in uptown Westport, right next door to R&R Auto.
The business is owned and operated by longtime Westport residents Curtis and Sue Graham. Curtis works as an apartment manager and maintenance supervisor, and Sue runs the shop with his able assistance.
The couple closed their Westport ‘Y’ location in April and then spent the next four months preparing their new location by covering the former bowling lanes and then loading the huge building with at least eight times the merchandise they previously had for sale.
Featuring a large inventory of gently used merchandise, Eclectic Treasures offers not only an extensive selection of clothing, shoes, handbags, scarves and accessories, but also anything you might need to start housekeeping or add to what you have. Furniture items include couches, chairs, tables, lamps, mattress sets, shelving and more. Housecleaning tools are abundant, as well.
Browse through literally nearly a thousand kitchenware items running the gamut from pots and pans to dishes, glasses and flatware.
There’s also a good-sized selection of electronic items, all guaranteed in working condition. You’ll find televisions, stereos, microwave ovens, computer printers, keyboards, speakers, all sorts of cables and adaptors, along with cassettes and DVDs at bargain prices. You’ll also find toys for the kids, holiday decorations, snow skis and boots, luggage, crutches and canes. The shop inventory changes often with new items added every week.
Eclectic Treasures & Thrift Shop is open Friday through Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
